I joined the GBernardes group in October 2021 as a Marie-Curie funded Postdoctoral Researcher. My project is related with the modification of intracellular antibodies with improved internalizing, trafficking and targeting properties.
I completed my PhD in December 2018 as a DAAD-funded scholar with a binational project between the University of Havana, Cuba and the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, Germany. During that period and a subsequent postdoctoral stay at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, my research was related with the application of multicomponent reactions on the synthesis of glycoconjugate vaccine candidates and glycolipid adjuvants. I obtained my Diploma and Master degrees from the University of Havana in 2013 and 2016, respectively.
Areas of expertise:
Multicomponent synthesis, carbohydrate synthesis and modification, protein modification, and bioconjugation
